Why this matters
Phillips takes the brands, the brewery closes, effective 25 January 2026. An ordinary enough ending except for the company it keeps: Victoria lost Swans' brewhouse in 2024, Moon Under Water in 2025 and Lighthouse in 2026 — three consecutive years, three of the city's established names. The corporate and brand lineage here needs its own research pass and has not had one. What is settled is that the beer stops being made in Victoria.
