The label says independent. The paperwork often says otherwise. Search 5187 breweries by name, or search the beer itself, and follow it up the chain to whoever ultimately takes the money.

How complete is this? 170 of 5187 breweries are mapped to a company profile with a full chain. The rest either have no parent (independent) or name an owner we haven't built a company profile for yet — and the tool says so rather than guessing.
Independence is recorded as the brewery states it. Where a stake is a minority holding or a joint venture, we leave it unmapped instead of calling it ownership — a 25% stake is not a takeover, and the archive would rather be incomplete than wrong.
