Who owns this brewery?
The archive is still digging. That is a gap in the research, not a finding of independence.

Summary
Status: Historical predecessor / acquired 1962. Bavarian's Leslie Street plant began as Garrett Brownrigg's brewery project using German brewing plans/equipment. Brownrigg lost the partially completed brewery through foreclosure to A.E. Hickman, who renamed it preserves Brownrigg Brewery as a former-name/site lineage rather than inventing a separate brewery entity. Labatt acquired Bavarian in 1962.

Timeline
- 1932Hickman's Bavarian Brewery, Leslie Street
"Bavarian Brewing emerged later in the 1930s under Albert E. Hickman's ownership", after Garrett Brownrigg's partly built brewery on Leslie Street was foreclosed (Newfoundland Beer History). The site's article "does not establish any connection between Lindberg Brewing and Bavarian Brewing Company" — the Lindberg family is not part of this record.
- 1950Lighter, German-influenced lagers
"Bavarian Brewing made a name for itself by producing lighter, German-influenced lagers": Jockey Club, Dark Munich, Red Label, Black Label, Blue Star, Three Star Lager, Bulldog and Bennett's Beer are the brands listed.
- 1962Labatt
Taken over by Labatt in the 1962 division of the island's three brewers; "Location: Leslie Street, St. John's (current Labatt's brewery site)" (Atlantic Business Magazine) — the plant continues as labatt-st-john-s-brewery (TB-97MT7NXC), where Blue Star and Jockey Club are still brewed.

Dark Munich
RetiredDark lager / Munich-style beer
Scholarly history states Bavarian brewmaster Hans Schneider developed prize-winning formulas for Jockey Club and Dark Munich. Jockey Club is already preserved in the master under the surviving Labatt lineage; Dark Munich is added as a distinct historical Bavarian product. (Historical documented)
