Wädenswil, Switzerland
From the record
What we have established
Type: Heinrich Rusterholz established a brewery at the Grünenhof property in 1833. After multiple 19th-century ownership and operator phases, Michael Weber became sole operator in 1867; his sons Fritz and Franz continued as Gebrüder Weber from 1887. The family business later became Weber & Cie., then Brauerei Wädenswil, Weber AG, joined SIBRA in 1970, and the Wädenswil production site was closed at the end of September 1990. Status: CLOSED — Historical production ended september 1990. RUSTERHOLZ → Blattmann / operators → NAEF & WEBER → Weber family → SIBRA Preserve the 1992 Wädi-Brau-huus revival as a separate successor operation, not automatic legal continuity with the 1833-1990 brewery.
