Type: An 1876 Zürich excursion guide explicitly lists in Horgen a 'Speisewirthschaft zum Adler mit Brauerei Stünzi', proving on-site brewery operation under the Stünzi name. Horgen's 1900 hospitality register still lists the Adler tavern, but does not identify it as a brewery; the exact brewing start, end and operator identity therefore remain held. Status: Historical brewery — IN 1876; Exact start/END UNKNOWN. STÜNZI Operator surname / full ownership chain held. Do not confuse with Brauerei Adler AG in Schwanden. The 1900 Adler tavern at Zugerstrasse is a site-continuity clue, not proof brewing continued to 1900.
