Drumconrath Brewing Company

Mapleton, USA · Est. 2017

01

From the record

What we have established

Founded 2015 by Sam Corr, owner and head brewer; the original Mapleton location was leased in 2016 and the brewery opened 30 March 2017. Relocated to Fargo in 2019, occupying Drekker's former downtown brewery site - a relocation into a vacated site, NOT a 2017 Fargo opening and NOT succession of Drekker. Final operating day 30 September 2022: Corr said the taproom was underperforming despite distribution reaching six states, and the lease prevented a simpler restructuring - a useful counterpoint to the assumption that distribution reach equals sustainability. The Mapleton brewery assets were later bought by the founders of Icewind Brewing; that is an asset and site succession, not acquisition of Drumconrath the company. Equipment and site afterlife otherwise UNKNOWN. Source: contemporary local reporting, per North Dakota Passes 23-25.
