Official brewery history says Flathead Lake Brewing started in Woods Bay in 2004 under owner Greg Johnston. A second Bigfork brewery/pubhouse opened in 2015; the Woods Bay facility closed completely at the end of 2017. Current official site and 2025 Montana beer-barrel records verify active Bigfork production.
