Bassler's scholarly history records that after World War II, former Bennett brewmaster Hans Wich started his own brewery in Harbour Grace, but lost his investment in less than a year and then left Newfoundland for a brewery position in New York. No defensible company/trade name was found in this pass, so the canonical archive label is explicitly descriptive and the actual historical business name remains UNKNOWN.
