Phat Fish Brewing

Opened June 2019 at 1031 West Villard; owners Tony and Kelli Scharf spent roughly a year and a half developing the project per North Dakota SBDC. EXACT PUBLIC OPENING DAY IN JUNE 2019 IS PARTIAL RESOLUTION and is not invented. The building was constructed in the early 1900s by the North Dakota Department of Transportation and later became a Dickinson State University property before being adapted for the brewery - place succession, not institutional continuity. Current first-party evidence says the twelve rotating taps are brewed in-house and identifies malt from Two Track Malting made with barley and wheat from the Stober family farm near Goodrich and Arrow K Farms / the Kessel family near Belfield, with spent grain going to a local rancher as cattle feed. THAT SUPPLY CHAIN IS VERIFIED CURRENT AND IS NOT BACKDATED to the 2019 opening batches, for which no dated sourcing evidence exists. Dickinson previously hosted Rattlesnake Creek in the 1990s and early 2000s; Phat Fish is a later brewery in the same city and is NOT its corporate successor. A 2019 Community Development Project recognition and multiple 2020 Best of the Western Edge awards are business and community recognitions, not judged beer medals, and are deliberately not recorded as beer awards.
