Type: Salomon Bänninger established a brewery at Schloss Nürensdorf in 1839. Ernst Reinhard Landolt took over in 1890 and converted the business in 1893 into Schlossbrauerei Nürensdorf AG. After insolvency in 1898 and an unsuccessful rescue company, brewing ended in 1902 and the brewery was combined with Leopold Haas's Riesbach brewery to form Union-Brauerei. Status: CLOSED — Brewing ended 1902; Merged into union-brauerei. BÄNNINGER → Multiple owners → LANDOLT → SCHLOSSBRAUEREI AG → UNION The protected Schloss/brewery site later returned to brewing use under a separate modern brewery; do not merge the historical AG with the modern operator.
