"In 1883, former Spring Brewery manager and mayor of Sherbrooke (1882), James William Wiggett" and his brother John launched the brewery; "The Wiggett brothers rented an old Smith-Elkins building located on the north bank of the Magog river" (ETRC, The Echenberg Collection).
