American Temperance Brewery
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
Tally's Take
Why this matters
A brewery named for temperance, at 358 Flora Street, surviving only a few years in the prohibition era. The Manitoba Historical Society is the source and records little beyond that; the exact opening and closing years are unknown and are not guessed here. The name is the whole of what is interesting and the archive cannot explain it — which is a better entry than a confident paragraph inventing why.
