New Brewery / Hertlein / Steitz & Edwards lineage

Barkerville, British Columbia, Canada · Est. 1865

01

Tally's Take

Why this matters

A separate Barkerville continuity row from the longer Barkerville Brewery one, running 1865 to 1869 across three names — New Brewery, then Hertlein, then Steitz & Edwards. SFU keeps it distinct and so does the archive. Two brewing lineages and a third brewery all running at once in one gold-rush town, which is a great deal of beer for a place at the end of a wagon road.
