The record is careful about what came after, and worth reading for it: Moses Hart sold the property to George Baptist in 1848, but an 1851 plan shows the former brewery already in ruins — so Baptist is not counted here as a brewery operator. Buying the land a brewery stood on does not make you a brewer, and an archive that assumed otherwise would have invented one.
