Germany Pass 25. Founder: Hermann Päffgen. Status as recorded: ACTIVE / HOUSE BREWERY. Current Cologne house brewery. First-party history says Hermann Päffgen founded it in 1883 in the Rubenshaus and moved brewery and brauhaus to Friesenstraße in 1884, where the house-brewery tradition continues.
