Tally's Take

Why this matters

The third operator of the Redwood site. The Manitoba Historical Society records the old Drewry brewery becoming Carling in 1957 and later Carling-O'Keefe, with federal industry records independently listing a Manitoba Carling brewery. It ends in 1989, when Molson and Carling-O'Keefe merged and the plant passed to its final operator. Thirty-two years — during which the brewery itself never stopped. Only the sign changed.
