Prior notes: Christian Krauch established Delaware's first documented lager brewery/saloon in Wilmington in 1850. A digitized Wilmington directory independently lists 'Krauch, Christian lager beer saloon 70 King'; he moved to 308 King/Mount Vernon Hotel in 1857 and left the brewing business around 1866.
