Tally's Take
Why this matters
Forty-four years, through Prohibition and into the industrial era — SFU's continuity shows it surviving what closed most of the province's brewing companies. It is the third Cranbrook brewery in this archive and the only one that lasted, and beyond the dates almost nothing about it is recorded. A long life thinly documented is a more honest entry than a short life dressed up.
