Distillerie-brasserie Young / de Beauport

Beauport (Québec City), Quebec, Canada · Est. 1792

01

Tally's Take

Why this matters

One of the earliest industrial brewing sites in the Québec region, operating from 1792 to 1810 near the Beauport river. It is the bottom layer of three on the same industrial complex: Young until 1810, then Racey until 1863, then the Compagnie de brasserie de Beauport from 1895 to 1911. A hundred and nineteen years of brewing on one site, with a thirty-year gap in the middle that nothing here explains.
