Status: CLOSED. Historical Douglas brewery accepted from convergent first-party and direct-founder evidence. Alaskan Brewing's current history says Douglas City Brewing Co. operated 1899-1907 and that Marcy Larson found shipping records plus a newspaper article describing its brewing. Direct founder interviews in KTOO and All About Beer describe a 1907 brewer interview, Nick Nichols' brewery records/checks/invoices, cool ale fermentation and imported Bohemian hops.
