The Edmonton Brewing and Malting Company — Sheppard's 1913 'beer castle' — was sold in 1927 to Lethbridge brewer Fritz Sick, who was assembling breweries across Western Canada and the US northwest after prohibition. The pass wording 'Fritz Sick / Sick's brewing interests' kept whole in spirit: the buyer named by the sources is Sick.

The surviving structure is an earlier brewery site of the SAME company, not a separate brewing business. Recorded from Alberta Register and City of Edmonton Archives evidence via the Sicks network research pass. Successor at this site: 121 Street Brewery.

Five-storey brewery built 1913 at the corner of 121 Street and Stony Plain Road. Sold to Fritz Sick in 1926 or 1927 - the sources differ and neither is asserted here - entering the Associated Breweries structure; Molson acquired control of Sicks in 1958. Closed 2007. Historic portions survive within Edmonton Brewery District and are municipally designated. Predecessor at this site: Rossdale Brewery.
