An advertisement in the Michel Reporter of 9 October 1909: "Manufactured from Canadian Malt, Bohemian Hops and the now Famous Crystal Spring Water, Elk Valley Brewing Co., Limited" — the brewery at Crystal Springs, near Michel and Natal (PRIMARY). Founder and plant: UNKNOWN.
- 1921The end, and the towns after
The record's 1921 end coincides with the close of BC prohibition; no source ties the two. Michel and Natal themselves were emptied under an urban-renewal scheme from the late 1960s, "the old communities... bulldozed and burned" as residents moved to Sparwood.
