Tally's Take
Why this matters
A stout launched by a fighter, into the one market on earth least likely to be impressed by a new stout. Ireland has Guinness, Beamish and Murphy's, and a home crowd with strong opinions about all three. What makes this worth an entry is not the celebrity but the sequence: the pub came first, then the beer for the pub, then the brewery to make the beer. Most celebrity drinks brands run that order backwards — licence a name, contract the liquid, sell it anywhere but home.

Forged Irish Stout
Year-RoundIrish Dry Stout
Nitrogenated, so it pours with the cascading surge and tight head that Irish stout is judged on. Launching one in Ireland means being compared to Guinness on the first sip by everyone who tries it, which is either confidence or a fight picked on purpose.
