Fort Garry Brewery Limited (historical)

The original, not the one brewing now. The Winnipeg Free Press traces Fort Garry's roots to 1930, and the Manitoba Historical Society records the original brewery being bought by Molson and subsequently closed. The Fort Garry operating today was re-established in 1994 and is held here as a separate record. The closing year of the first one is not established and is left unknown rather than estimated — which also leaves genuinely open whether these are one brewery with a long gap or two breweries sharing a name. That call has not been made.
