Its ending is far better documented than its beginning: Quebec heritage records place Frontenac among the breweries fused with Dow, Dawes and Boswell to create Dow Brewery Limited in 1952 — the second great consolidation of Quebec brewing, forty-three years after the first.

    I.P. Ale and Export Ale

    "Frontenac I.P. Ale" launched 1920 and "Frontenac Export Ale" in 1922 (Beer Et Seq). The plant, inaugurated 11 November 1913, stood in Mile-End at the Casgrain / De Gaspé / Marmier / Bellechasse block (Ville de Montréal). Promoters: five francophone Montrealers, Joseph Beaubien among them.

    Into National Breweries

    "elle dut se rallier à la National Breweries en 1926" (Images Montréal).

  4. 1951
    Carling Brewery (Quebec)

    "In 1951 National sold the Frontenac plant to Canadian Breweries Ltd. Taylor later turned Frontenac into a Carling Black label plant" (Beer Et Seq); Wikipedia's Canadian Breweries account has the conversion to Carling Brewery (Quebec) Ltd in 1952. Both kept.

    Demolished for the Rosemont viaduct

    Demolished in 1972 (Radio-Canada) or 1973 (Images Montréal) during construction of the Rosemont Boulevard viaduct; the City of Montréal's warehouses occupy the site. When the last Carling brew ran there: UNKNOWN.
