Who owns this brewery?
The archive is still digging. That is a gap in the research, not a finding of independence.

Summary
Status: CLOSED / CONSOLIDATED 1960. Address: 319 Algonquin Boulevard East, Timmins, ON. Timmins Museum says the Doran group started Gold Belt Brewery from scratch in 1928. Federal brewing rosters list Gold Belt at Timmins in 1931/1932 and still in 1941, then Union Brewery Limited by 1943; the Gold Belt→Union legal/name transition is now bracketed to after the 1941 reporting identity and by the 1943 reporting identity. A separate 1919 Doran-Timmins claim remains HELD pending primary pre-1928 evidence. [Canada Pass 123] CLOSURE SCOPE (2026-10-09): 1960 is when this company's identity ended in the Doran's consolidation, not when the Timmins plant stopped brewing. The plant is still in the 1990 federal establishment list and gone from the 1992 list (src-evt-0090), so its closing year is UNKNOWN; Jason Marcon, whose columns the archive cites, has not established it either (correspondence to the archive, 2026-09-22).
