Summary
Status: CLOSED. Do not reactivate Hartinger merely because the reopened hotel uses the term Brauereigaststube. New owners Piergiulio Ruhe and Kemal Yilmaz operate Hotel Der Waldkater GmbH; any future brewing restart needs separate producer/site evidence. Historic house brewery at Hotel Waldkater. The hotel's own current history says the Waldkater opened in 1989 with its house beer Hartinger-Bräu and that the hotel/restaurant operation ended in 2021. The property reopened under new owners in 2025/26, but current material says the old brewing tradition is intended to be revived in the future rather than proving Hartinger production has resumed.
