J.R. Myers's Trail brewery of 1898 became the Yuengling Brothers Brewing Co. In the same year, running to 1900 — the Rossland Museum dates Lion Brewing's absorption of it to 1899, which the two sources do not quite agree on, and the archive leaves that where it is. The name will stop anyone who knows American beer: Yuengling is the Pennsylvania brewery that calls itself the oldest in the United States. No connection between them is documented here, so none is asserted. A shared surname has caused enough trouble in this collection already.
