Status: CLOSED. City and Borough of Juneau HSD states that beginning in 1883 one of the lots now covered by the Senate Building supported the Juneau Brewery owned by Abraham Cohen. Alaska Free Press index shows M. J. Cohen & Co. of Douglas City acting as agency for Juneau Brewery in July 1889, strengthening operating/distribution continuity. By 1914 the brewery had closed; exact closure date and legal form remain UNKNOWN. [Alaska Pass 20]
