Summary
No production is inferred during BC Prohibition. Exact legal/site succession from Righton's is unresolved. Legal entity: Kootenay Brewery. Production evidence: Historical production — SFU BRW-72 timeline records pre-Prohibition operation. UNKNOWN — BRW-72 SAME-ROW Relationship held. Status as recorded: CLOSED. CHECKED 2026-09-24: no source names a distinct Kootenay Brewery at Revelstoke in 1893; the SFU row's Kootenay Brewery 1893-1918 is on kootenay-brewery-revelstoke-historical (TB-CWBY7T7X), and the only 1894 reference found is the Kootenay Mail calling Allen's Revelstoke Brewery the largest in the Kootenays. PROBABLE DUPLICATE of that record. Not merged here. CORRECTION 2026-09-24: the CHECKED note of earlier today called this 1893 record a likely misattribution of Allen's brewery. The Kootenay Star and Kootenay Mail of 1893-95 show J. E. Long's Kootenay Brewery as a separate, working Revelstoke brewery. It remains a PROBABLE DUPLICATE of kootenay-brewery-revelstoke-historical (TB-CWBY7T7X), which carries the same SFU row. Not merged here.
