Summary
KCRA's 2021 retrospective, based on interviews with founder Dan Ayala and local participants, says Ayala founded and built Murphys Creek Brewing Company in the early 1990s, that it produced a locally popular hometown beer, and that the business shut down after only three years because production/distribution financing could not scale. The equipment was sold roughly 25 years before the 2021 story. Exact opening and closure years remain UNKNOWN rather than reverse-calculated.
