Quebec cultural-heritage records state Canadian Breweries Ltd., which controlled National Breweries, became O'Keefe Brewing Ltd. In 1968. O'Keefe later merged with the Dow brewery and was part of the chain leading to Carling O'Keefe. CHECKED 2026-09-24: a corporate record — the 1968 renaming of Canadian Breweries' Quebec company per the Quebec heritage register. Dow's Quebec brewing and bottling ceased on 18 October 1968 (reported, fr.wikipedia); the Notre-Dame Street plant's address: UNKNOWN. Not a brewery in its own right.
