California Pass 187. An 1882 Oakland Tribune item identifies Oakland Brewery and reports its beer production over the preceding year, describing the brewery as a major producer outside San Francisco. Husted's Oakland, Alameda and Berkeley directory for 1884-85 lists 'OAKLAND BREWERY, KRAMM & DIEVES, Proprietors' at the corner of Telegraph Avenue and Durant Street. Exact founding, closure and earlier/later ownership chronology remain UNKNOWN.
