The Cumberland News, 23 March 1909: "Mr. John Schnoor, of the Pilsener Brewing Company, has just returned from a business trip to the north-west and has made arrangements for shipping of all necessary equipments in connection with his brewery"; 4 May 1909: Schnoor, the company's manager, showed a reporter "the premises of the new brewery, which is situate on one of the six lots purchased by the Company from Mr. George Stevens".
