Status: ACTIVE. Queen City Distillers was publicly launched on 2025-10-29 as a reimagining of the former YQR Distillery at 1700 Elphinstone St. Official company material describes a premium craft distillery and brewery, identifies Shaun Semple as founder/owner, and states by 2025-12-19 that the distilling and brewing businesses were already operating. Robert Walsh joined as Operations Manager and Master Brewmaster and immediately assumed responsibility for the operations. The larger entertainment complex is still being built toward a December/Winter 2026 opening; brewery/distillery production is therefore separated from the not-yet-open full hospitality complex.
