The Cariboo Sentinel, 24 June 1865, on Quesnelmouth: "Two breweries were nearly completed when we passed through, an old friend, Mr. Kerr, formerly of Victoria, being a partner in one of them." (PRIMARY) — so the Kerr of Barkerville's later Kerr & Son's Phoenix Brewery may have begun here; not established.
- 1865Pale Ale and Porter, in cask and bottle
An advertisement in the Sentinel from 23 September 1865: "Quesnelmouth Brewery. THE UNDERSIGNED respectfully intimate that they are now prepared to supply in quantities the above highly recommended PALE ALE & PORTER, in cask and bottle, of their own brewing." The proprietors' names are lost to the OCR; the 1866 end: UNKNOWN in detail.
