Tally's Take

Why this matters

California Pass 187. Specialist brewery-history records a continuous High Street Quincy Brewery lineage from Lawrence Ackerman (1859-60) through Wm. Schlatter & Co./William Schlatter to John C. Werner's Buckhorn Brewery phase (1897-1920). Pass 117 adds direct contemporary production evidence: the 1880 national brewing survey lists 'Quincy, Schlatter, Wm.' with 954 barrels sold in 1878 and 94 barrels in 1879. Calisphere/Plumas County Museum preserves separate Buckhorn Brewery and J.C. Werner Brewery images. These phases remain one provisional Quincy lineage pending legal/property continuity proof.
