Red Bluff Brewery
Red Bluff, California, USA
Tally's Take
Why this matters
California Pass 187. Primary-era newspaper evidence documents Red Bluff Brewery operating in 1861 under W. F. Bofinger and manufacturing lager beer. An 1867 Pacific directory again lists W. F. Bofinger at Red Bluff Brewery; an 1885 Tehama directory lists John Krauss as proprietor. Later museum material describes Bofinger & Krauss and John Krauss brewery phases, but exact legal continuity and closure chronology remain held.
