Revelstoke Brewery (Allen & Johnson, 1903–1906)

Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada · Est. 1903

01

Tally's Take

Why this matters

Oliver Allen resurrecting his own brewery name. The Revelstoke Museum documents him reviving the Revelstoke Brewery with William Johnson in 1903, three years after the first one ended, and this second business ran until 1906. The archive keeps the two apart because they were separate businesses with a gap between them — a name coming back is not a company continuing, and treating it as one would turn two short ventures into a single long one that never existed.
