Lothar Reinhardt Jr. opened this in 1900 as a Montréal operation competing directly with G. Reinhardt & Sons, which had been brewing in the city since 1852. Nine years of rival Reinhardts, and then the National Breweries consolidation of 1909 absorbed both. The archive keeps them as separate records because they were separate businesses — a shared surname is not a shared company, and treating it as one is how brewing lineages get quietly collapsed.
