What the sources say
Resolves held claim HOC-0014 ("Owner / successor operator"). The candidate mechanism succeeded_by is rejected as a category error — its object would be the predecessor BREWERY (Northpaw), not a person. Side Quest is Northpaw's successor identity after Kirkland's acquisition, renamed 2025-12-12; Kirkland owns it.
Ownership history is kept as dated events, so a change of owner never overwrites the one before it.
