From the record

What we have established

Status: CLOSED. Historical North Battleford brewery. Contemporary 1934 newspaper identifies Fred Wentzler as president/general manager and says he entered that role in 1929. A 1938 Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly journal refers to matters leading to the plant's closing. R.L. Sweet's Breweriana Collection preserves two Star Brewing folders and notes Wentzler ownership 1928-1937. Exact 1927 start remains collector-chronology level rather than registry-level. Ownership & corporate history

  1. Owned by Fred Wentzler1929 – 1934

Current evidence supports this, but the record is not fully resolved.

    What the sources say

R.L. Sweet finding aid notes Wentzler ownership 1928-1937, but Wentzler died in 1934; estate/share succession after death remains unresolved.

Ownership history is kept as dated events, so a change of owner never overwrites the one before it.
