Weißbier-Aktien-Brauerei vorm. H. A. Bolle

Berlin had a beer of its own — Berliner Weisse, a sour, low-strength wheat beer — and it had an industry of breweries that made nothing else. This was one of the oldest: secondary historical scholarship dates the predecessor brewing to 1798. Its ending is unusually precise for a brewery of that age, because it was a transaction rather than a collapse — in 1932 its production quota transferred to Landré-Breithaupt, another Weißbier house this archive also holds. Bundesarchiv corporate files survive for the company, which is why a brewery that stopped ninety-four years ago can be recorded this firmly.
