A brewery whose best surviving documentation is a painting. Franz Skarbina painted the Gabriel & Jäger brewery garden around 1878, and the Berlinische Galerie holds it still — so most of what is known about Friedrich Wilhelm Gabriel and R. Jäger's Weißbier brewery comes from an artwork rather than a ledger. The company chronology is held pending archive and corporate records, and both the opening and closing years are unknown. An archive that counted only paperwork would not have this entry at all.
