The character
A territory the size of western Europe with a single commercial brewery in it. Everything that goes into the beer is hauled up Highway 3 or across seasonal ice roads, and everything that comes out reaches the rest of the NWT through the territorial liquor commission. The brewpub sits in Old Town by the Great Slave Lake docks, near Pilot's Monument and where the Snowking builds a castle out of the lake every winter. Scarcity is the whole context here: this is not a scene, it is an outpost, and it is very good.
